Islamic New Year begins as Saudi Arabia marks 1st of Muharram
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia announced that Thursday, June 26, will mark the first day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic 'Hirji' calendar.
The declaration followed the sighting of the crescent moon Wednesday night, a tradition observed at the end of each month in the Hijri calendar.
Belarusian man slams Iranian toddler in Moscow airport
A video circulating on social media Wednesday shows CCTV footage of a 31-year-old Belarusian man picking up an 18-month-old Iranian boy and slamming him to the floor at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport, leaving the child unconscious.
A bystander then rushes to help the toddler and confronts the attacker, who flees the scene.
Iran-Israel ceasefire holds
The shaky ceasefire between Iran and Israel continued to hold on Thursday after Iran retaliated against Israeli strikes on Tehran early Tuesday morning.
United States President Donald Trump previously lambasted Israel for violating the ceasefire agreement he mediated.

📖 Quran – Surah Tawbah, verse 36
Indeed, the number of months ordained by Allah is twelve—in Allah's Record since the day He created the heavens and the earth—of which four are sacred. That is the Right Way. So do not wrong one another during these months
🕊️ Hadith – Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 59, Hadith 8
"The division of time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul-Qa' da, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Shaban.”
