Gaza death toll tops 57,000

Israel’s 20-month war in the Gaza Strip has killed at least 57,012 Palestinians and 134,592 injured since October 2023, the enclave’s Health Ministry said Wednesday.
Majority of casualties are women and children.
Israeli airstrike kills Gaza hospital director and his family in their home

The director of Gaza’s Indonesian Hospital was killed along with five members of his family from an Israeli airstrike on their home in Gaza City on Wednesday, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry.
"With great sadness, the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the medical teams in the Gaza Strip mourn the martyr of humanitarian and medical duty: Dr. Marwan al-Sultan," the ministry said in a statement.
Gaza’s collapsing health care system

Al-Sultan’s death is part of a broader toll on Gaza’s medical workforce. More than 1,400 health care workers—including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and paramedics have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 2023, according to the United Nations.
Throughout the war, medical personnel have warned that hospital supplies are rapidly depleting as they struggle to treat thousands of Palestinians critically wounded from Israeli airstrikes and shelling.
📖 Quran Verse & Hadith of the Day: Seeking help in patience and prayer
📖 Quran – Surah Nisa, verse 36
“Worship Allah [alone] and associate none with Him. And be kind to parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, near and distant neighbours, close friends, travellers, and those in your possession. Surely Allah does not like whoever is arrogant, boastful.”
🕊️ Hadith – Sahih Muslim, Book 45, Hadith 100
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective.”
