The Gaza Health Ministry reported Sunday that at least 67 Palestinians were killed and more than 150 injured in an attack near the Zikim crossing in northern Gaza. Survivors said that the Israeli military fired at the hungry crowd.
The crossing was being used by 25 aid trucks belonging to the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP), according to an Associated Press report.

The reported killings come as Palestinians face soaring levels of malnourishment and the threat of widespread famine. The ministry said Sunday that at least 86 Palestinians, 76 of them children, have died from starvation.
Less than an hour later, the ministry reported that 18 more people had starved to death throughout the enclave in the past 24 hours.

📖 Quran Verse & Hadith of the Day: Allah’s reward for those who do good
📖 Quran – Surah Younis, verse 26
“Those who do good will have the finest reward and [even] more. Neither gloom nor disgrace will cover their faces. It is they who will be the residents of Paradise. They will be there forever.”
🕊️ Hadith – Mishkat al-Masabih, Book 9, Hadith 146
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “God records the good deeds and the evil deeds. If anyone intends to do a good deed but does not do it, God enters it for him in His record as a complete good deed. And if he intends to do a good deed and does it, God enters it for him in His record as ten to seven hundred and many more times as much. If anyone intends to do an evil deed and does not do it, God enters it for him in His record as a complete good deed; but if he intends to do it and does it, God records it for him as one evil deed.”
