CAIR urges US government to condemn killing of American citizen in West Bank

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Florida chapter organized a press conference on Monday urging the United States government to condemn the killing of a Tampa resident by Israel settlers in the West Bank.

"One of your residents, an American who lived in Tampa and worked in Tampa was brutally beat to death," said CAIR-Florida Deputy Executive Director Hiba Rahim.  "We call on you to publicly condemn this murder, condemn Sayfollah's tragic death."

A 26-year-old Algerian nursing student was fatally stabbed in a Hanover apartment building, prompting protests and demands from Germany’s Arab and Muslim communities to classify the killing as a hate crime.

Rahma Ayat was found with multiple stab wounds to the shoulder and chest, according to multiple reports. Neighbors heard screams coming from her apartment on July 4 and alerted authorities. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

📖 Quran Verse & Hadith of the Day: The importance of gratitude

📖 Quran – Surah Ibrahim, verse 7

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more. But if you are ungrateful, surely My punishment is severe.

🕊️ Hadith –  Jami’ al-Tirmidhi, Book 37, Hadith 98

Amr bin Shuaib narrated from his grandfather Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) who said that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)  said: “There are two traits, whoever has them in him, Allah writes him down as grateful and patient. And whoever does not have them, Allah does not write him down as grateful nor patient. Whoever looks to one above him for his religion, and follows him in it, and whoever looks to one who is below him in worldly matters, and praises Allah for the blessings He has favored the one who is above him with, then Allah writes him down as grateful and patient. And whoever looks to one who is below him for his religion, and looks to one who is above him in worldly matters, and grieves over what missed him of it, Allah does not write him down as grateful not as patient."
